The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to here access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance point produced for intervention encounters a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
